Suffolk Auction Calendar & History
Upcoming Suffolk County tax and foreclosure auctions plus a multi-year archive of past auction outcomes — the live counts here refresh as the Comptroller publishes new sale slates.
How Suffolk County auctions work
Suffolk County tax auctions are run by the Suffolk County Comptroller. Parcels reach the auction stage after a multi-year tax-foreclosure process — typically three or more years of unpaid taxes, followed by transfer of title to the County, followed by a publicly noticed sale. The seven-stage path that lands a parcel at auction is documented in our Foreclosure Timeline Atlas.
Bidders must register in advance, post deposits, and bid at the scheduled sale. Each year's sale terms are published by the Comptroller and vary on procedural details — review the current notice before relying on prior-year procedure. Winning bids close subject to redemption rights of the prior owner and any unresolved title encumbrances.

Where to find the live auction list
The full live list of parcels currently in the Suffolk auction pipeline is on our auction properties page. That page refreshes daily as new parcels enter or exit the auction pool. The Comptroller's office publishes the canonical sale notice on its own site; we link out to the primary source from each parcel's detail page.
Coverage and scope
Listings cover Suffolk County auctions run by the County Comptroller. Year tagging follows the Comptroller's published sale year. Town attribution uses each parcel's official tax-map district, which is stable across boundary adjustments and renames. Updated monthly during auction season and quarterly otherwise. See our glossary for definitions of "comptroller transfer," "redemption," and other auction-stage terms.
